Time sure flies...

Since I last blogged, I went through a series of interviews for my dream job... And I got it!

I will tell you more about it in due course however for now, I have just been busy getting used to my role and changing my routine from lazy student to 9-5er.

Inspired by The Justice League

I have two reasons for writing this post. One, I want to write about one of my interests: comic books. And two, I want to take advantage of the comic book fashion trend and use superhero costumes as inspiration for outfits. I also wanted to take this opportunity to post photos of hot half-naked men.

For those of you who don't know. There are two comic book companies who created the superheroes we know and love today: DC Comics and Marvel Comics. DC is responsible for heroes such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash while Marvel is responsible for heroes such as Spider-Man, Thor, X-Men and Iron Man.

I'm actually more into Marvel than DC but since Marvel films are dominating at the box office, I feel DC needs more love right now. I've also decided to take this opportunity to share with you the actors I want to play the "missing members" of The Justice League - DC's "equivalent" of The Avengers.

Now I know Aquaman doesn't have the best reputation. If The Big Bang Theory has taught us anything, it's that Aquaman sucks. However I think he's a very underrated hero. He's telepathic and can control the minds of both animals and humans. He has superhuman strength.  He has the ability to breathe underwater. He can swim at high speeds and he can see in the dark. Taking photos outside may actually become a habit of mine! I got home from work knowing my Mum was about to finish work too so I impulsively grabbed my white heels and walked straight out the door again to besiege her. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my digital camera AND my white Gucci sunglasses (to complete my all-white look) but hey, I'm getting there... So again, my apologies for the iPhone quality photos... And my squinted eyes...

A little tip: Remember if you're wearing a fitted or thin white garment, to wear nude underwear or if it's a dress, a nude slip can come in handy.

The Tale of My First Maxi Skirt

Secondly, I took photos outside! I had two "photo shoots" - one before watching World War Z and one after watching World War Z. (It is an amazing movie!) The photos were taken on my Mum's iPhone hence the low-ish photo quality but this is still progress for me, right?

Geo Gets Tucked In

I'm finally back! How do you like my blog's mini makeover?! It was tough finding a wallpaper to top the last one but I have! I adore it! An "About Me" section (with a video!) and a blogroll section is coming soon!

Today I went to meet a couple of friends at my favourite cafe. Unfortunately the jumper ended up being too thick for the high temperature inside but my best friend's compliment on my outfit kept me smiling through the heat.

Busy, Busy, Busy

It is ridiculous how long I've gone without blogging and honestly, I've been that busy that I didn't even realise just how looooong! I profusely apologise.

Unfortunately I won't be making my way back onto the blogosphere until June, when I finish my last school term of this academic year. Until then, please sit tight and watch me slowly transform my blog...

I'm talking a new background, new pages (e.g. About Me, Blogroll), and more varied content to give my blog more of a personal stamp. I've decided to fuse my feminine style with my hobbies and hopefully churn out a more interesting blog for my lovely readers :)

Don't worry though, my blog is always first and foremost a personal style blog so if it's just my outfits you're after then rest assured, they will always be a dominant and regular feature.

The Geometric Jumper

My first outfit post of 2013 features this Warehouse geometric jumper which as I've said before, I wouldn't normally choose. It doesn't have a defined waist which is normally a must for my body shape and if I do choose a baggy knit, it tends to be a dress rather than a top.

Apps: Draw Something!

I have been swamped with college stuff this week so I haven't had time to take any outfit photos... Bummer.

I began wondering whether I should do a post of my favourite apps and while wondering which apps would make the list, I remembered Draw Something - an app I was addicted to last year. It's basically pictionary and while I'm not a particularly good artist, I have my moments! I can only draw well from sight though, not from imagination so I tend to google cartoons and draw from sight onto my iPad.
