I was going to get some financial stuff sorted.
I was going to work overtime for just 3 hours to cover lunches.
I was going to meet a friend afterwards for a catch up and a hang out.
I slept in until 10am to find a text message on my mobile. It was my colleague asking where I was? Hmm... Strange. I called her and asked her what's up... She said, "are you not meant to be in" - a pang of dread set upon me....
As it turns out, my day off is tomorrow, it was NOT today!
I was in shock for a good minute before I replied. "F***, I'll be there ASAP!"
Threw on this old Karen Millen knit dress from Spring 2011's transitional collection, whacked on some KG ballet pumps, grabbed my tropical umbrella and RAN IN THE POURING RAIN to my work that is thankfully just 10-15 minutes away by foot.
This has never happened to me before! How could I have been so stupid?!
A lesson definitely learned.
I didn't have a lunch break and I'll be making up the other half hour another day.
Still reeling over the fact this actually happened!
