Plaid, Studs, and Zips

I'm wearing:
Karen Millen black double-zipper knitted jacket,
black long sleeve bolero,
Evans black/green/pink plaid studded empire line dress,
Mint Velvet black leggings,
black socks,
Zanea black patent wedges,
DKNY large shoulder bag.

I've been re-creating Gossip Girls looks on Polyvore from season one,
for a blog post that I'm currently constructing.

In season one,
both Blair and Serena made their plaid skirts more fashionable,
by adding gorgeous pieces or items with it.

When I was putting together this outfit yesterday afternoon,
I had no idea I was being influenced by those looks,
particularly Serena's.

Of course because it's almost Winter,
I've been layering.
The black boleros I use in Summer for a light cover-up,
are now an easy extra layer.

I slipped on these wedges last minute -
I now know that they are comfiest with socks on!

It's interesting that I love this dress now.
I was never sure of it.
I just bought it on instinct...
And now I love it!

You know what else I love?
Tea.
One of my classmates calls me,
The Tea Fiend!

When I worked in Retail,
I was a coffee addict.

I quit caffeine when I quit my job,
but when I started college,
I began drinking tea.
Now I am hooked!

My cuppa tea is weak,
sugary,
and milky.
It's so unhealthy but so tasty!
Here's a mugshot:

Make Tea, Not War!
