Holiday In The Philippines #1

Today's Outfit: Warehouse patterned black/cream/brown dress, ASOS black crop top, Miss Selfridge ethnic tan flats.

Here's a close up of the dress' pattern. It looks like Aztec print to me...

I am finally here in the Philippines! We arrived last night and had travelled for about 28 hours straight! Here's one of the many cool views from one of the 3 planes I went on:

While I was at London Gatwick, I bought a stripy tunic from Mango's sale and spotted some Marc By Marc Jacobs accessories (in Harrods) that I wished I could afford...

Today was spent at a couple of malls getting some essentials like mobile internet for this iPad 2 of mine! Another was getting groceries... I love how ridiculously huge and varied the fruit and vegetable section in the supermarket at SM Megamall is:

It's my Mum and her Louis Vuitton aka her baby...
Something that amazes me is how in "dominantly white people countries" like back home, in England, products made to fake a tan (artificially darken skin) are commonly used; here in Philippines and other Asian countries it's common to use products that whiten skin, so popular that they have aisles dedicated to them:

I couldn't stop laughing while I took these, both tanning and whitening products are f***ing stupid. These products aren't exactly helping to completely abolish racism!
I love the live fish they had in the fish section! We don't have any live fish to purchase back home in my town...

Some were already dead which was rather disappointing...
Philippines is home to amazing cuisine! When I leave, it will be the food that I'll miss the most - as expected from a fatty ;)

Tikoy, strawberry flavour. Ing.: rice, sugar, veg, fresh strawberry, strawberry extract - this was actually too sweet for me!

Hopia, ube flavour. Ing.: flour, sugar, eggs, ube, glucose, veg oil - one of my favourites to snack on...

Mochi roll. Ing.: glutinous rice flour, sugar, bean paste - loved this so it's a new fave!

Right, I am off to comment back on your blogs (^_^)
